Alexander Mcqueen Fall/Winter 1996, "Dante"

A few days ago I was recapitulating several McQueen runways and I was reading somethings that I didn't know about Alexander McQueen's "Dante" collection and I would like to share with you guys...

McQueen's Autumn/Winter 1996 collection was dedicated to Isabella Blow who was his muse, that was his inspiration in those times.
The collection was presented in the dramatic setting of Nicholas Hawksmoor's Christ Church in Spitalfields, east London with a skeleton seated front row.
In this collection Alexander McQueen experimented with denim and Victoriana, thing that he would return to again and again.

The accesories and styling were integral. Some models apparead as innocents with nails seemingly driven through their hands, others looked fierce with spikes projecting through scraped back and metal thorns that apparead to burst through the skin.

I find The McQueen's work amazing and I think this collection was certainly memorable for the beginnings of Alexander McQueen.
